Oregano
Oregano is a perennial herb often confused with marjoram (a close relative). A versatile herb used heavily in Italian and Greek cooking in pizza sauce/bases, moussaka and tomato dishes. Oregano is highly aromatic and medicinally is said to ease stomach ache.
Growing Info
A decorative ground cover, the plant has small furry leaves. Best to keep it trimmed otherwise the plant tends to go woody and looks less full. Oregano likes well-drained soil, kept moist and in a sunny position. Feed liquid fertiliser every now and then and ensure plenty of space in the garden. If you have little room, best to plant in pot.
