Shiso is the Japanese name for the herb Parilla.  The plant comes in two main forms – green with a small white flowers and red or purple with small pink flowers.


Leaves grow as large as the size of the palm of your hand. It has a distinctive fragrance and nutty taste. Widely used in Japanese and Korean foods, it's often referred to as the Asian sweet basil.  Search the web for many simple and quick recipes for using this versatile herb.
