Amaranthus - Red Heart

Very attractive red on green leaf Amaranth that's grown for its tender edible young leaves and very high in protein, vitamins and minerals. Cook like spinach or put leaves in salads, add to sandwiches and wraps. Very easy to grow and looks wonderful in the garden.

Planting Info
Annual, grows to 100cm, plant seedlings 80cm apart. Feed with a soluble fertiliser every two weeks for stronger plants. Suits most soils, put in a sunny position. This plant is drought resistant but frost tender.
