Common Mint
Common Mint is a highly aromatic perennial herb which is sometimes deciduous in cold winters. The plant likes to spread as a ground cover, so recommend to contain in a large pot or similar, otherwise if you have the room you may prefer to let it run. Traditionally used in culinary dishes and made into a sauce served with roast lamb, mint is also delicious added to warm cooked potatoes or peas (with a dob of butter). YUM! Other uses are as a natural sweetner for desserts, smoothies and juices.
