Chervil (French Parsley)

Chervil (French Parsley)

Chervil is a delicate herb best grown in winter.  Related to parsley, it's often called 'French Parsley' as it's most popular in French cooking, used to flavour sauces. It is also added to salad and vegetable dressings, egg, chicken and fish dishes.  The prominent taste of 'Bearnaise' sauce is because of the presence of Chervil.  The herb has been said to be an essential for a healthy immune system, aid digestion and the absorption of vitamin C.

Planting Info
An annual that grows to 25cm high it likes to be in part shade, protected from wind and hot sun.  Best to grow in winter in SEQ.  Moderate water and nitrogen rich fertiliser.  Great for growing in large pots.
